Nas & Jay

Music & The Black Republicans

14 Mar 2007, 02:41
This journal entry folks is inspired by last.fm user comments on the biggest track/song in the Hip Hop world to date. I understand that we all have an affinity for music in our own unique ways, yet when one person is able to sell millions and millions and millions of units over a given period of time, it should be self evident that there are millions, and millions, and millions of like minded individuals who have the same taste for the music.

Ignorance is bliss and I fault no one for their short comings pertaining to their knowledge of Hip Hop, the culture and those who embody and exude its true essence everyday. Whether they are on a microphone in a booth, performing on stage in front of thousands of people, embarassing another crew in a battle, outclassing another DJ and/or painting another mural on another street corner in brooklyn, or writing a song or a book, these are true masters at their craft and pillars of the Hip Hop community that will never be forgotten.

So please everyone, stop trying to bring down our modern day Kings who bring such joy to our little lives that are so important to you. Instead, continue to support them in the honorable, respecting, loving, and most creative ways that you do best, and help uplift the culture. Hip Hop began for one reason and one reason only and that reason is for the purpose of freedom from ones bondages in any given period in time. So enjoy the culture that is and has been maturing since RUN DMC began RAISING HELL!!!

MasHOuT

Hip Hop is Dead is complete. It is Nas' most complete album to date. Wait for the next one, it's going to be even stronger. On top of that for those of you who have no idea, nor the slightest inclination of what it takes to create a beautiful song I suggest you keep your production constructive criticism at bay. Yes I'll be at the Nas concert in April, and Nas has not fallen further, he's as high as Mt. Jaro in Africa.

Jay-Z. This shit is deep don't even get it twisted unless you're dealing with cush. You see I can agree with you that Jay-Z's ear for sound is different than Nas'. However it's what makes Jay, Jay and Nas, Nas. It's like a finger print. Jay is that brother that will take you there to show you how the sunshines on this side of the planet from this altitude. Nas' foundation is grass roots born. That means from the valleys to the Mountain peaks. We are all connected and the song Black Republicans is the biggest track/song in the Hip Hop world! Period.

I would be honoured to be the producer of this song but I'm not, so I give credit where credit is most definitely due. Biggie wouldn't have it any other way and neither would Pac.

Remember?...good will to all men!
