My Thoughts.
Here is something I wrote to a CBC producer.
I truly believe the world has been and always will be a world devoid of
compassion and common sense. A company that is incorporated protects
its people who make the decisions on various things. When it is the
company that is the inanimate entity unable to make such decisions.
Legally what should be tried in court is the Chairman of the board and
downward. I am sick of these individuals hiding behind these
corporations, destroying Black peoples homes while they are on vacation
in Tahiti or somewhere in the world not named on our maps. All the
broadcasting companies can document whatever they want but it's not
their priority either to step in and intervene on various political
issues or the rights of the Nigerian people in this particular matter.
However you will document these issues in order to increase your ratings
and to say that you are doing a good thing by letting the North American
public know about the atrocities that happen over seas.
The bottom line is this. If man did not create the disillusioned need
for the mighty $1, many of the horrible things that happen to families
in the world would not exist. A Prime Minister or President or King of
any country/nation or even Continent is no better than I for he is just
a mere mortal.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth
on him.
John 3:36
I guess it is for this reason why nothing is everything to me. To watch
your documentary and see the people of Nigeria claim right over their
property and resources is a beautiful thing. However the downside is
that people are still dying for their cause. I hate that my company gas
card is Esso. But it's an expense I need not worry about for now. Yet
in my personal opinion this corporation is one of the most irresponsible
corporations in the world for over half a century now. The individuals
that run these companies are too selfish and too apathetic towards
humanity.
Broadcasting companies are nothing. Just another corporation claiming
to provide a service for the people in its broadcasting territory. What
political power do you have? What kind of influence is involved? I've
watched more CBC then I have voted in my life and I have only voted
twice in 10 years. All these people need to do is stop. Take a moment
to really see what's going on. It is not the middle class and poor you
need to educate with these documentaries, it's the Oil companies, Prime
Ministers, Presidents, Speakers, Kings and Queens, Princes,...the
wealthy families that have wealth from generations and generations
ago...these are the people who have the financial resources to stop what
has been happening to life in Africa. But because Africa is the Mother
land, wealthy beyond human comprehension with natural resources that
will make people rich beyond their wildest dreams is why such horror
occurs to the African people.
